STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT - RAYSHAWN JOHNSON, LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

Rayshawn Johnson is a graduate student and member of the Track and Field program at Liberty University. He is working to complete a Masters of Science in Sports Administration. Rayshawn has been actively involved with Liberty's 2nd & 7 program for two years.

Being able to go into communities that need role models and college athletes to show students that making it to the highest level is possible, is Rayshawn's favorite aspect about volunteering with 2nd & 7. He is passionate about helping youth and changing people's lives through sportsmanship and athletics. Ray remembers being a child who used sports and reading as an opportunity to change his life and he hopes to lead kids to do the same. In addition to helping 2nd & 7 spread the joy of literacy, he actively coaches young athletes in his hometown and is the former president of Liberty's Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He also interns with Student Athlete Engagement and Development at Liberty University.

We are proud to have Rayshawn as a member of our 2nd & 7 huddle!
