Readers & Leaders Annual Scholarship

This 2nd & 7 annual scholarship rewards students who have demonstrated what it means to pay it forward, while showing promise to continue to live a life of service to the community.

Who

  • Current/Former student-athlete volunteers with 2nd & 7’s reading program in the United States
  • High School seniors who are planning to attend technical trade school, community college or university
  • Must meet BOTH of the above criteria

What

  • $2,700 Scholarship
  • One-time award (non-renewable)

Timeline

Applications Accepted
December 1, 2024 - February 15, 2025

Scholarship Awards Announced
April 2025

  • Complete application, including essay
  • Proper grammar and punctuation (please check your work!)
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation (Non-relative; appropriate letters would be from coaches, teachers, volunteer directors, etc.)
