At 2nd & 7, we feel honored to have such a successful and ambitious student-athlete,
like Maddy Bellisari, in our 2nd & 7 huddle. Maddy is a Sophomore at Austin Peay State
University in Clarksville, Tennessee, studying kinesiology. She is also a member of the women's soccer team. Maddy has volunteered with 2nd & 7 for over six years, through our role model reading program and at our summer youth football camp.
Maddy helped establish our program at Austin Peay State University by working with the Director of Student-Athlete Development earlier this year. What Maddy appreciates and enjoys most about
2nd & 7 is the opportunity to give back to students in a way that is educational and
meaningful. The intention behind the organization and how it targets a grade of students
that need volunteers and exposure to reading the most is one of the things that drew Maddy to
the program. In addition to volunteering, she also enjoys photography, exploring new places, spending quality time with her family, and learning new things. Also of note, Maddy was on the Dean's List both semesters last school year.
We feel so lucky to have Maddy as a volunteer and to experience working with someone so
dedicated to helping push our organization forward!
