On Wednesday, May 22nd, Grange Insurance held a Take Your Child To Work Day event, giving kids the chance to learn about what their parents do at work as well as explore career options. Both educational and fun, the event allowed the kids to experience a real workplace environment in an engaging way.
2nd and 7 complemented the event in partnership with Grange Insurance to provide literacy-related activities. These hands-on activities included creating bookmarks as well as helping count and sticker books that will be donated to our Columbus Kids Book Bank. The collected books will make their way to the homes of kids in need of age-appropriate reading material. These engaging activities helped communicate the lesson of giving back to the community to the kids in attendance of the event.
The day also featured a special story time of 2nd & 7’s own book series, The Hog Mollies, led by Ryan Miller, founder of 2nd & 7. Overall, this event combined helpful activities with important lessons in one fun, memorable day.
