The Columbus Kids’ Book Bank hosts monthly book giveaways where anyone with kids in their lives that need reading material are welcome to stop by our building and shop for free books. From teachers to parents, all members of our community are welcome to attend and shop freely from our selection of gently used books. People use these giveaways to build up classroom libraries, adding to books at home, or supporting a local program, these giveaways make it easy to get reading material into the hands of kids in need.
These events help make reading more accessible and exciting for children who many not have books of their own. The experience of shopping for free books can spark interest, build confidence, and encourage a love for reading. The giveaways are also a convenient time to pick up any processed book requests. The summer schedule for upcoming giveaways is now available:
May 4th 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
June 10th 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
July 9th 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
August 4th 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
We encourage all members of our community to attend, shop for free books, and make a positive impact on any young reader in your life.
