The Pay It FOREward Golf Outing is an annual event that brings our community together for an exciting day to support the mission of 2nd & 7 to help kids discover the joy of reading. On May 11th at Wedgewood Golf Club in Powell Ohio, participants will enjoy a day of golf, great food, and fun contests, all the while contributing to our goal of providing books to children who need them.
This year, the event will be honoring Ohio State Athletic Director Ross Bjork with the Legacy of Literacy Award, an award we give to an individual each year to thank them and recognize their instrumentality in supporting our mission of literacy outreach. This outing will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ohio State’s Rose Bowl win, a team that included the founders of our program.
In attendance will be Ohio State athletes to meet participants and help us celebrate this fun event. Overall, the outing represents the values that our organization revolves around, which are community involvement, athletics, and volunteering and how they all comes together to make a lasting and positive impact on our youth.
