Miss Ohio 2009 Erica Gelhaus, members of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and Miss Ohio contestants will join together to support The 2nd and 7 Foundation and Reach Out and Read . You are invited to join in raising funds to purchase books for children across central Ohio by becoming a sponsor. As a sponsor, you will help us “Tackle Illiteracy” while having the opportunity to meet and bowl with our Buckeyes and Beauties!

FUNdamental Football Camp
The FUNdamental Football Camp is an annual event during which kids ages 8-14 enjoy three days of drills, contests and speakers, with a focus on having fun. The kids learn the basic fundamentals of football while additionally learning about important attributes such as teamwork, goal-setting, positive attitude, and commitment.

Celebrity 8-Ball Shootout
The Celebrity 8-Ball Shootout, an annual pool tournament held in downtown Columbus, combines charity, celebrities, and fun. The participants include former and current NFL, NHL, and MLB players who are teamed with members of local and national businesses who generously donate to the 2nd & 7 Foundation.

Mother's Day 5K
Starting in 2008, the 2nd & 7 Foundation and The Ohio State University Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) partnered to hold an annual 5K run on Mother’s Day each year. Many of the Student-Athletes from OSU are involved with the reading program throughout the year so they decided that it was a perfect fit to hold a fundraising event that combined an athletic event with a charity that they are committed to.

The Flying Feather Four Miler
Thanksgiving is all about family, fun and food. Now you can add fun and activity! Bring all your relatives, house guests, cooking buddies and little turkeys out for the Flying Feather Four Miler on Thanksgiving Day. There is even a Kids' Gobbler Chase, a short gallop (less than a quarter of a mile) for children of all ages with some former Buckeye players and coaches, all to benefit the Second & Seven Foundation. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate and help their kids.
