Student-Athlete Volunteers

High-school and college student-athletes from all across the county volunteer as positive role models for the children we visit throughout the year in our reading program. They read with the 2nd graders and take the time to discuss the life lesson contained in each story. Student-athletes emphasize the value of education and reading, and explain to the children that if they don't get good grades and try their best at school, they don't get to participate in sports.

2020 COVID PRECAUTIONS: In light of the current pandemic, most of our reading 'visits' will be virtual this year. Student-athlete volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with and inspire young minds from anywhere! With the help of 2nd grade teachers, we will help connect you with a group of children to read to, still using our Hog Mollies books.

If you are a student-athlete and interested in paying it forward, complete the form below and we will contact you soon!
