Readers & Leaders Annual Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY

This annual scholarship is open to all high school seniors who have volunteered for The 2nd & 7 Foundation’s reading program. Our mission is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward. This scholarship rewards students who have demonstrated what it means to pay it forward, while showing promise to continue to live a life of service to the community.

WHO

  • Current/Former student-athlete volunteers with The 2nd & 7 Foundation’s reading program in the United States
  • High School seniors who are planning to attend technical trade school, community college or university.

          (Must meet BOTH of the above criteria)

WHAT

  • $2,700 Scholarship
  • One-time award (non-renewable)

TIMELINE

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete application, including essay
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation (Non-relative; appropriate letters would be from coaches, teachers, volunteer directors, etc.)
