The Lafayette College Men's Lacrosse team believes strongly in the importance of paying it forward. The team is entering their third year of partnership with The 2nd & 7 Foundation. Lafayette Coach Patrick Myers has a deep history with The 2nd & 7 Foundation. During his days as a player on the lacrosse field at the Ohio State University, he served as a 2nd & 7 Foundation student-athlete volunteer. We are honored that Coach Myers introduced our program to the Lafayette College team and are inspired by their commitment to fostering "Readers and Leaders".

During their first years of partnership with The 2nd & 7 Foundation, this team visited elementary schools in the Easton, PA, area to share the importance of reading and education. This year, the team has stepped up in a big way by serving as positive role models through our virtual reading program. Several times each week, team members meet with 2nd grade students around the country virtually to read a Hog Mollies story and to discuss the important life lesson in the book. Through this new way of reaching students, they continue to encourage kids to read every day and to work hard in school. Coach Myers shares, "We are very proud of the guys and I know they are just humbled by the opportunity to make an impact.  As an OSU alum, I remember the impact this program made on me as a student-athlete and we are thrilled to partner with you!".

We are so appreciative of this team's commitment to serving as positive role models during these challenging times. Their impact on young readers is profound and we have seen firsthand how much their efforts are appreciated by students and teachers. We are so proud to have the Lafayette College Men's Lacrosse team in our 2nd & 7 huddle!
