David Szarvas, a 4th-year Pre-med Biology student and a member of the gymnastics team at The Ohio State University, is our student-athlete of the week. David excels in not only giving back to his community, but the aspiring doctor is also extremely successful in the classroom and in his sport. He is currently the 2017 All-American in the pommel horse. In addition, academically, he is the 2016-2017 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, two-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete, and a 2017 Academic All-Big Ten selection.

David shares, “My favorite part of 2nd & 7 is being able to interact with the kids and share in their excitement; I always look forward to seeing them and talking to them about the importance of reading for their futures, while they are always excited for us to come teach them about what it means to be a Buckeye student-athlete!”
