Congratulations to Kira Baade, our Student-Athlete of the Week. As a Junior at Tiffin University, Kira is on the Women's Volleyball team and is studying Forensic Psychology. Kira is also a member of the Tiffin University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience and to offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives. This school year, the committee is facilitating The 2nd & 7 Foundation outreach in the Tiffin community through virtual visits.

Kira was nominated by Tiffin University as a Student-Athlete of the Week as she is someone that the Tiffin SAAC can always rely upon as a leader. She goes above and beyond to enhance the student-athlete experience, including her role as a volunteer with The 2nd & 7 Foundation outreach. Kira states that her favorite aspect of volunteering with our program is, "I just love seeing how happy and excited the kids get when I'm reading. As soon as the zoom starts you can see the smiles on their faces. I just love doing things for the youth because I was once that young and remember how much I enjoyed it."

We love Kira's passion for sharing the importance of reading and are proud to have her as a member of our 2nd & 7 huddle!
