Tiffin University began its fourth year of partnership with The 2nd & 7 Foundation this school year. Through this partnership, student-athletes with the Tiffin University Student Athlete Advisory Committee are serving as positive role models at Washington Elementary School in Tiffin, Ohio. Jessica Bigg, who recently began her fifth year as Assistant to the Athletic Director/NLI Administrator at Tiffin, has taken a leadership role with our 2nd & 7 programming. She shares “our athletes love having the opportunity to tackle illiteracy in the classrooms and community”.

Tiffin University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee serves a very important role in shaping the face of collegiate athletics. Not only do they provide insight on the athlete experience and offer input on the rules and policies that affect student-athletes' lives, they also take pride in organizing community service efforts. We are grateful to the athletes from 26 Tiffin teams who are committed to creating readers and leaders in the community. Through in-person and virtual visits, they are encouraging young readers to work hard in school, while reading books from our Hog Mollies series and discussing the important life lessons contained in the books. Our team huddle is strong thanks to the many athletes at Tiffin University and around the country who are driven to help young readers succeed!
