Congratulations to Bobby Smith, our Student-Athlete of the Week! Bobby is a senior at Hilliard Davidson High school and plays defensive tackle for the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats football team. He was nominated by his coaches as "he's the heart and soul of our team." Recently, Bobby suffered a season-ending injury by tearing his ACL. This injury hasn't swayed Bobby's commitment to supporting his team and his community. In his second year of volunteering with The 2nd & 7 Foundation's outreach, Bobby shares, "I really enjoy reading to the students at Avery Elementary because the Hog Mollies books always portray a great lesson and something everyone can hear and learn from."

We are excited to feature Nick Westbrook as our Student-Athlete of the Week! Nick plays football at Indiana University and is a senior, majoring in Business Marketing. Nick is distinguished for his performance on and off of the field, as a Campbell Trophy nominee, an Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee and a Wuerffel Trophy nominee. Nick shares, "I like the opportunity to impact a young person's life. To be able to give a kid in class, that may be a little shy, some confidence by spending time with him could go a long way."

We are excited to feature twins from Big Walnut High School as our Student-Athletes of the Week! Alexis and Avery Schone are senior soccer and basketball team members. Both have played a significant role in our reading program outreach for 3 years. Alexis shares, “My favorite part is being able to read and interact with the kids. I love seeing their faces light up when we come in and how excited they get”.  Avery states, “I love being able to give back to the elementary schools. I also enjoy seeing how happy the kids are when different sports teams come to read to them”.
