STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK, MADISON SALYER

Madison Salyer is our Student-Athlete of the Week! Madison is a Senior on the Women's Tennis team at St. Francis DeSales High School in Columbus, Ohio. Madison partners with The 2nd & 7 Foundation as part of the St. Francis DeSales High School Read with a Stallion Program. Through this program, student-athletes from DeSales visit St. Anthony Parish School to read to the elementary students and to encourage them to value reading and education. Madison shares, "When I was a student at St. Anthony School it was instilled in me that serving my community and giving back was a way of life. As a Senior at St. Francis DeSales High School, that message has not changed. When I was approached about the Read with a Stallion Program that has partnered with 2nd & 7, I jumped at the chance to give back to a community that was so good to me. I love reading the Hog Mollies books and getting to know the students and I am honored to say that I am a part of these wonderful programs."

STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK, TATYANA CROWDER

Congratulations to Tatyana Crowder, our Student-Athlete of the Week! Tatyana is a first year graduate student at Liberty University. She studied social work during her undergraduate years and is pursuing graduate studies in public health. This Women's Basketball team member has been involved with The 2nd & 7 Foundation for one year. Tatyana shares that her favorite part of 2nd & 7 is, "Being able to use my platform as a student-athlete to see their personalities come out and the level of positive influence I can have on their day. Also, I love seeing their amazement in the college athlete lifestyle."

STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK, BAILEY URBACH

We are thrilled to feature Bailey Urbach as our Student-Athlete of the Week! This is Bailey's second year of serving as a weekly volunteer with our central Ohio reading program. Bailey is an Ohio State University Rifle team member and serves as the secretary on the Ohio State Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the OSU Pen Pals elementary school pen pal program. Bailey is studying neuroscience and looks forward to attending medical school after graduation. Bailey shares, "Working with The 2nd &7 Foundation has shown me the power that we have as student athletes to be positive role models for kids. I love getting to meet a new group of kids every week and being able to share my love of reading with them."

Congratulations to Paige Frankovich, out Student-Athlete of the Week! Paige is a junior at Ashland University and is majoring in Spanish. As an Ashland Cheerleader, Paige has been volunteering with The 2nd & 7 Foundation for 2 years. Page shares, “I love being able to have a hand in teaching or enforcing good habits or behavior provided by the books we read and being able to answer any questions they have about college or life in general. Also, I love seeing the little girls’ eyes light up when they see us in our cheer uniforms!”
