STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK- NICK WHETNALL

Nick Whetnall, a sophomore at Tiffin University, is our student-athlete of the week. Nick is a member of the baseball team and is majoring in exercise science. This Pickerington North graduate loves being involved in The 2nd & 7 Foundation because of his passion for making the world a better place. He is also involved in National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as, Student-Athlete Advisory Council. After graduation, he plans to attend The Ohio State University and study physical therapy.

STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - KATIE GOEDECKE

Katie Goedecke, a senior at the University of Mount Union, is our student-athlete of the week. Katie attended St. Vincent-St.Mary High School in Akron. She has been involved in The 2nd & 7 Foundation for four years! She is a two-sport athlete for the Raiders participating on the women’s soccer team, as well as, a member of the women’s track and field team.  Our student-athlete of the week is a 2018 Academic All-America in soccer, 2017 Academic All-America in women’s track and field, and a National Champion in outdoor track in 4x100 relay. Not only is she a successful athlete, but takes pride in her studies too. This mathematics major has aspirations of becoming a math teacher. She is well on her way to making that dream a reality as she is currently a student teacher in the Marlington School District.

STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - JAKE ZINN

Jake Zinn, a senior at Olentangy Orange High School, is our student-athlete of the week. Jake is our first student-athlete of the week who has been involved in The 2nd & 7 Foundation for four years! This football player is extremely involved throughout his school and community. He is involved in Interact Service Club, Math Club, and National Honor Society, as well as, active at his church. In addition, he is not only an amazing athlete and living the pay it forward lifestyle, but he is a stellar student with a 4.5 GPA. After graduation, he plans to attend The Ohio State University or Miami University and study business.
