The Celebrity 8-Ball Shootout was created in 2004 as a way to raise additional revenue for The 2nd & 7 Foundation and support the growing organization. The concept is simple, 16 teams (or sponsors) complete in a double-elimination pool tournament with the winning team (sponsor) receiving a regulation sized pool table. Each of these teams is paired with a celebrity. Through the years, we have welcomed celebrities such as Greg Oden, Tedy Bruschi, Joey Galloway, Troy Brown, Kirk Herbstreit, A.J. Hawk, Pierre Woods, Bobby Carpenter, and many others. The event also mixes in some live music to create a fun evening benefitting the charity.
There is food and drinks provided during the tournament and a silent auction is held. Right before the semi-final round begins, we break for a live auction that is lead by Mike Vrabel and others.
