The Hog Mollies Books

For the first eight years of our reading program,
The 2nd & 7 Foundation purchased various books at the 2nd grade reading level to hand out to each child. The Foundation was also fortunate to have a number of donated books from generous people and organizations in Central Ohio.

As the reading program grew, the cost of purchasing (higher volumes of) new books increased, and it made sense for 2nd & 7 to consider the possibility of writing and publishing its own books.

In the spring of 2008, the first book, The Hog Mollies and The Pickle Pie Party, was written and published. Each year, a new book is released featuring four best friends, the Hog Mollies. Hoppy, Sprout, Harley & Duke go on fun adventures and learn valuable lessons along the way.
