Celebrity 8-Ball Shootout Overview

The Celebrity 8-Ball Shootout was created in 2004 as a way to raise additional revenue for The 2nd & 7 Foundation and support the growing organization. The concept is simple -
16 teams (or sponsors) complete in a double-elimination pool tournament with the winning team (sponsor) receiving a regulation sized pool table. Each of these teams is paired with a celebrity. Through the years, we have welcomed celebrities such as Thad Matta, Greg Oden, Tedy Bruschi, Joey Galloway, Troy Brown, Kirk Herbstreit, A.J. Hawk, Pierre Woods, Bobby Carpenter, and many others.

The event mixes in music, food and pool to create a fun evening benefiting the charity. Throughout the night, silent and live auctions featuring sports memorabilia and other unique items, are held to raise additional funds for the foundation.

This event is truly one-of-a-kind and has developed into a “Thank You” party for all those who support The 2nd & 7 Foundation.
